The general ergonomic recommendation is that seated hip height should be equal to, or slightly above, knee height. To find your ideal toilet height, measure from the floor to the back of the user's knee while standing — this is your target seated height. Elongated bowls are oval-shaped and measure approximately 48 cm (19 inches) front to back. Most raised toilet seats specify which shape they fit. With or Without Armrests?

The method by which a raised seat attaches to your toilet is critical to safety. Look for secure, tool-free locking systems that grip the toilet bowl firmly without wobbling. The most common types:

• Twist-lock clamps — tighten around the toilet bowl rim, quick to fit and remove. Ideal for shared bathrooms where the seat may need to be removed regularly.
• Bolt-down systems — attach via the existing toilet bolt holes and provide a very secure, permanent-feeling fit. Best for users who use the seat exclusively.
• Clip-on designs — clip beneath the toilet rim, practical in certain situations. Less secure than bolt-down options but easier to fit.

Bidet Compatibility
